• The Winter Adventure Reindeer Safari lasts approximately 1 hour in total, including a 30–35-minute reindeer sleigh ride and approximately 30 minutes by the campfire.

• Warm Arctic winter clothing is essential. Thermal overalls are not included, but warm blankets or traditional reindeer hides are provided in the sleigh for additional warmth.

• Several warm layers that can easily be added or removed depending on the weather
• Weatherproof outerwear to protect against snow, wind and cold
• Proper winter footwear with warm socks, as temperatures can be very low
• Mittens rather than thin gloves, especially for children and during colder periods
• A fully charged phone or camera – cold temperatures can drain batteries faster than usual
• A little Arctic curiosity – your guide will share stories about the reindeer and life in Lapland along the way

Good to know: You will be sitting still for part of the experience, which can feel colder than walking outdoors. We therefore recommend dressing warmer than you would for a normal winter walk. Warm blankets or reindeer hides are provided in the sleigh for extra comfort.

The safari begins at Santa Claus Reindeer in Santa Claus Village, approximately 8 km and about 10–15 minutes from central Rovaniemi.
