Reindeer Encounters in Autumn – A Lapland Experience for You

Experience the autumn glow of Lapland at the Arctic Circle! Meet Santa Claus’s reindeer, hear stories of Lappish life, and feel the magic of the season in the heart of Santa Claus Village.

In autumn, Rovaniemi changes. The forests around Santa Claus Village turn gold and red, and the reindeer grow their thick coats ready for the winter season. At Santa Claus Reindeer, you step straight into this season.

In Santa Claus Village, you will meet Santa Claus’s reindeer in their natural autumn look – calves have grown through the summer, the reindeer coats are changing for the colder season, and the surrounding forest glows in shades of yellow, red, and orange.

Our guides bring you close to the animals, sharing stories and in-depth information, facts of how reindeer have shaped Lapland for centuries. The bustle of the Village fades to the sound of hooves, the crackle of fire, and voices carrying old traditions.
