• The 400-metre reindeer sleigh ride lasts approximately 5–7 minutes, making it a wonderful introduction to a traditional reindeer sleigh ride in Santa Claus Village, Rovaniemi.
• Pre-booking the 400-metre Reindeer Sleigh Ride as a standalone experience is not available. Individual guests can purchase their ride directly on-site during opening hours.
• Advance booking is available when the 400-metre Reindeer Sleigh Ride is combined with the Meet Santa Claus’ Reindeer at Santa Claus Village, Rovaniemi experience. 
• The experience takes place outdoors, so warm Arctic winter clothing is essential. Winter overalls are not included.
• Guests should follow the instructions of our staff when entering and leaving the sleigh and when interacting with the reindeer.
• Children must be accompanied by an adult during the experience.
• Reindeer travel at their own natural and peaceful pace, meaning the exact duration of the ride may vary slightly.
• Weather, snow conditions and reindeer welfare may occasionally require operational adjustments. The wellbeing of our reindeer always comes first.

The 400-metre Reindeer Sleigh Ride in Santa Claus Village is a short outdoor experience, but Arctic temperatures can still be very cold. We recommend bringing:

• Warm winter clothing suitable for Lapland, preferably worn in several layers
• Insulated winter boots and warm socks to keep your feet comfortable while waiting and sitting in the sleigh
• Warm mittens or gloves, a hat and a scarf or neck warmer
• Extra layers for children, who may feel the cold more quickly while sitting still
• Camera or smartphone for capturing your reindeer sleigh ride in the heart of Santa Claus Village

Please note: Winter overalls are not included. As you will be sitting still during the sleigh ride, we recommend dressing slightly warmer than you would for walking around Santa Claus Village.
