Reindeer Ride Experiences in Santa Claus Village

Our dearest Santa Claus wants to ensure that each and every visitor can effortlessly experience all of the traditional activities while visiting the world-famous Santa Claus Village, located right at the Arctic Circle, Rovaniemi. Since one of the most well-known experiences are the traditional reindeer sleigh rides, Santa has brought his beloved reindeer right to the backyard of Santa Claus Office.

And right there, at Santa Claus Reindeer resort (Joulumaantie 13), you can participate in three different length reindeer sleigh rides:

●     Reindeer Path (5-7 min)

●     Forest Path (~10-15 min)

●    Winter Adventure – 1 hour Reindeer Safari (~3km / ~35min sleigh ride + snacks by the fire)
– WINTER SEASON 2024-2025 : 99 € / adult & 75 € / child   ( 1.-31.12: 120€ / adult & 99€ / child )

The reindeer sleigh rides are available (weather permitting) from the end of September, as soon as the weather gets cold enough. before snow reindeer sleigh rides (Reindeer Path & Forest Path) are arranged with wheeled sleighs. These shorter rides are running non-stop throughout the day within our opening hours and do not require prebooking. The 3-kilometer-long Winter Adventure is recommended to be booked in advance on our website or by email.

In each sleigh there are reindeer hides to keep you warm even on the coldest days, but we however recommend you to dress in warm, regular winter clothing for the sleigh ride. In case you need to wait for your tour to start, you can warm up by a nearby open fire, watch the flickering flames and enjoy the Christmassy atmosphere all around you.

As a concrete souvenir of this unforgettable experience you can also purchase a Reindeer Driving License or Certificate of Crossing the Arctic Circle from our sales booth within its opening hours.
